- Selected for the ‘End-to-End (E2E) 3D Spatial Intelligence’ theme; forming a consortium with DGIST, KAIST, and Hanseo University
- Eight-year project to advance next-generation spatial intelligence technologies
- Accelerating the development of spatial intelligence technologies applicable across industries, including smart cities, mobility, and disaster safety

Dabeeo announced that it has been selected as the lead research and development institution for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s national flagship R&D program, the ‘Future Tech-Frontier Project’.

The Future Tech-Frontier Project is a national R&D initiative designed to identify and foster breakthrough technologies capable of reshaping future industrial structures and market dynamics, going beyond the incremental advancement of existing technologies. Under the program, Dabeeo has been selected for the ‘End-to-End (E2E) 3D Spatial Intelligence’ theme and will carry out the associated research and development activities.

DGIST (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology), KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and the Hanseo University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation will participate as joint research institutions, while Dabeeo will lead and coordinate the consortium as the lead R&D institution. The project will be conducted over approximately eight years, from 2026 to 2033, through a four-stage competitive R&SD framework. Depending on the results of stage-by-stage evaluations and selections, the project may receive up to KRW 24.7 billion in government funding.

‘End-to-End (E2E) 3D Spatial Intelligence’ is a strategic future technology field that leverages intelligent multimodal AI to integrate and analyze diverse data sources, including robotics, mobility, aviation, drones, and sensors, with the goal of realizing next-generation spatial intelligence across both indoor and outdoor environments. Moving beyond traditional spatial data generation, it is emerging as a foundational technology for digital transformation across industries by enabling spatial intelligence systems that can understand, learn from, and continuously update spatial environments.

In particular, the technology is expected to serve as a core infrastructure for a wide range of sectors, including autonomous mobility, smart cities, disaster safety, public infrastructure, smart factories, logistics, defense, and agriculture, helping improve real-time situational awareness and decision-making capabilities.

Dabeeo has supported the digital transformation of the geospatial industry through its data intelligence technologies, which leverage AI to analyze and utilize diverse spatial datasets derived from satellite imagery, aerial imagery, and drone data. The selection of Dabeeo as the lead institution highlights the company’s recognized expertise in geospatial AI and 3D spatial data technologies within a nationally strategic technology field.

“This selection for the Future Tech-Frontier Project is a meaningful achievement that recognizes Dabeeo’s spatial data AI capabilities and expertise in 3D spatial data,” said Ju-hum Park, CEO of Dabeeo. “Through close collaboration with our research partners, we will further advance the foundation of next-generation spatial intelligence technologies and contribute to building a spatial intelligence ecosystem across a wide range of industries, including smart cities, mobility, disaster safety, and public infrastructure.”
