Dabeeo Deploys Barrier-Free Kiosk Spatial Information Platform Across 31 Lotte Department Stores, Outlets, and Shopping Malls

2026-02-10 조회수 108

- Company-wide enhancement of digital inclusion by supporting both upgrades of existing kiosks and deployment of new units
- Significant reduction in operating costs through One Source Multi-Use(OSMU) enabled by integration with Dabeeo Studio

Dabeeo, a spatial information platform company, announced that it has successfully deployed a Barrier-Free Kiosk integrated platform jointly planned and developed with Lotte Department Store across 31 locations nationwide, including department stores, premium outlets, outlets, Time Villas, and Lotte World Tower Mall.

This project is distinguished by the close collaboration between Dabeeo and Lotte Department Store, covering joint planning from user experience(UX) to hardware specifications. Dabeeo delivered the project through a one-stop process, encompassing software development, hardware production, development of dedicated braille keypads, and on-site installation. In particular, the platform was designed to reflect the characteristics of different retail formats such as department stores and outlets, while also enabling existing kiosks already in operation to be converted into a barrier-free environment through software upgrades alone, ensuring a flexible and efficient deployment approach.

The jointly developed barrier-free kiosk provides voice guidance for visually impaired users, high-contrast displays, and a screen UI height adjustment function designed for wheelchair users. Notably, the dedicated barrier-free keypad, a key outcome of the collaboration, features a precisely designed braille layout that enables visually impaired users to independently navigate large and complex shopping mall environments. This solution represents a convergence of technological expertise and user-centered design from both companies.

From a technical perspective, the project realizes One Source Multi-Use(OSMU) through Dabeeo’s map management platform, Dabeeo Studio. By integrating various APIs provided by Lotte Department Store with Dabeeo’s spatial data in real time, administrators can update map information once within Dabeeo Studio and have the changes immediately reflected across all channels, including websites, mobile applications, standard kiosks, and barrier-free kiosks. This approach eliminates data redundancy and significantly reduces operational costs.

Juhum Park, CEO of Dabeeo, stated, “This project demonstrates an efficient barrier-free service model built on One Source Multi-Use(OSMU) through close partnership with Lotte Department Store,” adding, “We will continue to support enterprise customers in creating inclusive digital environments in the most cost-effective way, while maximizing the use of existing infrastructure.” He also emphasized, “As a spatial information integrated platform company, Dabeeo will continue to lead digital transformation not only in commercial facilities but also across public institutions, based on our flexible and scalable platform.”
